Ready to prune?!
Corn-fused on how to put your garden to sleep for the winter and ensure stellar production in the spring? We’ve got a workshop for you then, make sure you put this workshop on your calendar!!
Join Daily Acts for the Winter Wizardry Workshop, where you’ll learn how to prune fruit trees, propagate plants from cuttings, chop-&-drop to cycle garden nutrients, and harvest rainwater within your landscape. We’ll start with an inspiring tour of the Cavanagh Center’s thriving community-powered food forest, which produces an incredibly diverse array of publicly available food while also saving 67,000 gallons of potable water annually. You’ll come away with an abundance of knowledge to help your garden make the best of the restful winter season and pop to full, colorful, food-pumping life in the spring!
The day will be led by the expert and ever entertaining, John Valenzuela, president of the Golden Gate Chapter of the Rare Fruit Growers. John is a plant whisperer, a fruit fanatic and a food forest wizard whose passion for creating edible ecosystems is positively contagious. Be sure to bring your questions and pruners!
Kids are welcome and a yummy light lunch will be provided.
Please pre-register to secure your spot and save paperwork on the day!
